anterior quadrant of teeth had an extreme labial flare and exhibited an overjet of at least 5 mm. (Fig. 15-38). It was almost impossible for him to find his true centric relation; every time his teeth closed, they closed differently (Fig. 15-39). If it had not been for the introduction of a blade-vent into the maxillary tuberosity area to act as the posterior abutment for a full arch prosthesis, the prognosis for a fixed full arch denture would have been hopeless.

The supporting bone in both jaws, except for the bone around the left maxillary bicuspid tooth, was good. However, there was an extremely long edentulous area on the left side and an extremely wide sinus that dropped to the limit of the alveolar
