or teeth exist, the utilization of a full subperiosteal (Universal-Weber) implant can be accomplished with the teeth still in place. The framework includes four posts and the substructure avoids impingement upon the anterior teeth. In this manner if the anterior teeth ever have to be extracted, a full arch implant denture can be utilized

to fit over the existing posts of the subperiosteal implant.

The following case clearly illustrates the technique. Only three anterior teeth remained; these sup-ported a five-unit splint (Fig. 12-101, A).
