A specially prepared tray was made and an elastic impression taken of the ridge area with the continuous groove (Fig. 11-169). The master stone mode] was poured into the impression. The shallow groove in the separated hardened stone model was deepened to the various depths indicated by Panorex studies of the entire jaw (Fig. 11-170). A cobalt-chrome casting was made. Like individual blades, it was wedge-shaped.

was placed inside the original groove (Fig. 11-171). It was then tapped deeper with a plastic-headed mallet and inserting instrument until its shoulder was buried (Fig. 11-172). The site was closed with interrupted sutures (Fig. 11-173), and a prefabricated
