A final Panorex not only shows the full arch splint stabilized in the maxilla with four implants but also lower implants (Fig. 11-158). The two dark areas on the left side represent a recent apicoectomy at the apex of the lower first left bicuspid and a hemisection removing the menial root of the lower right molar.

Case 14

A full arch restoration for an edentulous maxilla combined with a full arch restoration for a bilaterally posterior edentulous mandible

The patient, a 51-year-old male in good health, was wearing a full upper denture and a removable partial denture supported by four veneer crowns splinted together with a dolder bar (Fig. 11-159) . Because his first lower right bicuspid lacked support-
