Bites and a rubber base impression were taken, making sure to prevent the impression material from seeping into the space between the bar and the fibromucosa at the crest of the ridge.

A removable denture may be fabricated with either an all-acrylic frictional grip, internal clip bar attachment (Fig. 9-164), or a Gerber or Ceka type attachment. After processing and adjustment, the denture was slipped over the bar. Radiographs show
