The natural and artificial abutment supported toroplant has worked well. The strength of the remaining teeth (1), rather than their number, is an important factor. Another goal in such a case is to provide maximum bladevent support (2). Such security allows minimizing the palatal portion of the implant (3,4,5), a feature proving valuable in other types of maxillary sub periosteal implants.
