Pterygoid extension bilateral

In a similar case, the internally threaded attachments are clearly shown (1). These receive the bulky crown that constitutes the anterior portion of the pterygoid extension implant (2,3). With both in place (4), the sites are closed and the patient dismissed until they heal (5). The resulting palateless restoration is comfortable, pleases the patient, and can easily be unscrewed if the situation requires attention.
