Bladevents can be significant tools in providing a partially edentulous arch (1) with secure, balanced support for a fixed prosthesis. Here a double-posted anterior bladevent (2) counterbalanced natural teeth. Posteriorly (3) a tuberosity bladevent (arrow) strengthened the teeth and complemented a similarly situated bladevent on the other side of the arch.
