In this case the single-tooth bladevent used in the left cuspid area appears to be set considerably higher than the more distal, sub-sinus, double-posted bladevent (postop radiograph). Frequently the more generous, harder bone of the canine pillar area produces this picture. Also bone near stable teeth tends to be taller than that in areas that may have suffered considerable abuse as their natural occupants were lost.
