Endosteal blade posterior free-end saddles

Subsinus bone deep enough for a universal type bladevent is more common in partially than in totally edentulous cases. The bilaterally edentulous patient shown here (1) had nicely supported natural teeth, a common finding when bone under the sinus is good. Double-posted bladevents were inserted bilaterally (2-4), and when the tissues were healed the teeth bordering the span were prepared for inclusion in the restoration (5). Because of their good support, partial restorations with minimal natural abutment anchorage were possible (6-8).
