Endosteal blade anterior free-end

The young patient had handsome teeth with a large gap, from which were missing both bicuspids (1,2). The ex-posed ridge (3) was wide, which is not unusual in a young patient with well tended teeth, and served as a generous site for the insertion of a sinus-circumventing, double-posted bladevent (4-6). When the site healed (7,8), the molars were prepared for inclusion in a four-unit restoration. The bladevent allowed near natural dentition (9,10) posteriorly without sacrificing the crowns of more anterior teeth to anchor a conventional fixed restoration.
