theses were then biscuit-baked with porcelain, tried in the mouth, and glazed to completion (Fig. 15-43).

The fibromucosal tissue covering the maxillary tuberosity was incised with a scapel (Fig. 15-44), the tissue reflected, and a thin groove made in the exposed bone with a No. 700L fissure bur. The blade implant was placed into the groove (Fig. 15-45) and tapped to its proper depth with a plastic-headed mallet and inserting instrument. The tissue was closed with a few interrupted sutures.

The sutures were removed (Fig. 15-46), and the full arch maxillary porcelain-fused-to-metal pros-thesis was cemented with oxyphosphate of zinc cement (Fig. 15-47). The two lower posterior uni-
