with the insertion of the implant (Fig. 12-102). The tissues were sutured together covering the implant.

The anterior fixed partial prosthesis was processed independently of the subperiosteal implant, although the anterior framework could also have been fabricated from the original rubber base impression that was taken for the implant fabrication.

The anterior restoration must be completed prior to the final impression for the implant denture, since the superstructure framework will contain a continuous Kennedy-type lingual bar that will closely adapt to the lingual surfaces of the anterior fixed restoration (Fig. 12-103). The processed implant denture was fitted into position and properly articulated (Figs. 12-104 and 12-105).
