placed over the implant posts (Fig. 11-129). A wax interocclusal record of centric relation was made, followed by a full upper plaster index that included the gold and acrylic copings (Fig. 11-130). An alginate (irreversible hydrocolloid) impression of the teeth in the opposing dental arch was also taken.

At the next visit a one-piece metal casting, which included the six copings and all of the metal pontics, was fitted over the implant posts and tooth abutments (Fig. 11-131). All necessary gingival and occlusal adjustments were made. A final wax interocclusal record of centric relation was taken.

At this point if any discrepancy exists between the tissue-bearing surfaces of the pontics and the under-lying soft tissues, an Opotow* paste mix is placed over the shy surfaces of the pontics and the frame-
