three aluminum shells and the metal framework (Fig. 11-81).

By the next visit the tissue around each implant post had completely healed (Fig. 11-82). The completed restoration, a full arch fixed porcelain-fusedto-metal full arch denture, was then cemented into position with hard cement (Fig. 11-83). A final Panorex shows the completed upper case (Fig. 11-84) . The lower had not been treated as yet. If this case were to be done today, either annealed No. 1 copper tube impressions with the compound or one of the elastic type impressions such as silicone or hydrocolloid would be used for the implant post impressions. It is extremely important not to cool the compound tube impressions while in the mouth, since some of the material would lock around the narrower neck of the implant, preventing the removal of the impression. Instead, while the compound is still soft, it is taken off and placed back on the implant post a few times, which eliminates the "drag."
