the master stone model. The prosthesis, which had a lingual extension to lock into previously prepared deep-seated grooves on the lingual aspect of the upper right lateral and cuspid restorations, was then cemented in the mouth (Fig. 10-144) .

A full series of intraoral radiographs is seen in Fig. 10-145. The finished case is shown on a cross-sectional film (Fig. 10-146) . Fig. 10-147 compares the differences in hulk and size of the original removable prosthesis and the new fixed partial denture. Esthetically, the original tooth contours were duplicated.

If a removable substructure, as well as a re-movable superstructure, had been desired for this patient, the following steps would have been taken to construct the template. First, the post type implants would be inserted. Then the copings would be cemented permanently over the abutment teeth
