Here a unilateral pterygoid extension implant was added to a three year old, implant supported restoration to re-place a right failing shallow bladevent. The restoration was divided and the remaining segment fitted with a female attachment (1). The site was exposed (2) for an impression (3) for the fabrication of the unilateral pterygoid extension implant (4,5). The new splint was added to the restoration (6), and the new occlusion carefully checked (7-9).
