Intra-tooth blade support

Often working in a short span between two teeth produces more problems than does working in a totally edentulous arch. In this patient, a cuspid almost totally exposed on its labial surface (2) left a large socket, while the loose lateral incisor left a small socket (2,3). A trimmed bladevent (4) was seated behind the cuspid socket. A single-tooth bladevent was seated across the arch bucco-palatally (5,6) in the small space between the open sockets. Sterile plaster of Paris (7) was used in the socket to encourage healing. After the implant sites healed, the teeth were prepared (9) for inclusion in a full arch prosthesis.
