Pterygoid extension with

palatal struts

Soft tissues padded (1) a very severely undercut anterior ridge (2). Deep grooves were made across the bony ridge, and an impression taken which clearly showed their depths. The finished implant (4) was inserted (5,6), and later the full-arch palateless restoration (7,8). As with any form of dentition, proper occlusion is important (9).
