Pterygoid extension

endosteal blades

Another example of single-posted bladevents used anteriorly (I). The palatal portion is still quite large with distinct, posteriorly directed fingers (2). Inserted (3,4), the implant fits snugly. Note that the posterior buccal struts (5,6) are rounded and fenestrated to minimize weight. The mesostructure (7), made at the same time as the implant, is tried on over the healed tissues (8) and picked up in the impression (9). It is included in the restoration (12).
