of the entire arch was taken (Fig. 10-133), as well as a wax interocclusal record of centric relation.

A one-piece, final fixed splint was fabricated from the master model and cemented permanently over the substructure (Fig. 10-134) .

A Panorex of the completed case reveals the pins inserted through the template into bone (Fig. 10-135) . Sometimes, as in this case, infrabony pocket reduction is done after the entire case is completed. Otherwise, the few remaining teeth, if previously treated periodontally, might not have enough hard

or soft tissue attachment left to maintain them long enough for the completion of a prefabricated pros-thesis.

A full arch restoration for a partially edentulous maxilla using internally threaded vent-plants and a template

The patient, a woman in her early fifties, had only three teeth remaining in her upper arch and all three were on the right side: a lateral, cuspid, and first bicuspid. The patient wore a removable pros-
