In cases where only two periodontally remaining cuspids are to be used for support for a fixed prosthesis, figs. 1, 2, besides further support from blades inserted anteriorly and posteriorly to the cuspids, figs. 3, 4, a specially designed partial rubber dam, fig. 5, is often used during the cleansing out of the canals of the teeth and insertion of endodontic stabilizers, figs. 6, 7, 8, 9. After sufficient healing an elastic impression can be taken, fig. 10, to facilitate the final bridge-work, figs. 11, 12, 13, 14. A seven and one half year old x-ray shows the results, fig. 15.
