branches off the infraorbital artery (4) before it exits the bone at the infraorbital foramen (5). The anterior superior alveolar artery passes inferiorly within bone in front of the sinus, through narrow canals shared with the anterior superior alveolar nerves and the complementary veins and lymph vessels. When these arteries reach the dental arch they are small twigs that anastomose with branches of the posterior superior alveolar artery and, near the piriform aperture, with nasal arteries.
