Adequate bone

anterior to sinuses only low sinuses inadequate tuberosity

The totally edentulous patient wished to replace bulky upper and lower dentures (1,2). The maxillary arch was very narrow (3), but could be adequately reduced for anterior bladevents alone (4). In this particularly narrow totally edentulous mouth, the bladevents provided adequate support for a maxillary appliance carried through the second bicuspids only (5-7).
